17-43 Superintendent, Operational Projects
Full-Time • Timmins Region
Reporting to the Manager, Mine Operations, the Superintendent, Operational Projects' primary objective is to enable the operational group to develop projects to ensure safe efficient mine production.
Accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the management of operational projects and in field coaching of operational supervisors to aid in efficiency improvements and increased accountability and waste movement throughout the mine, including primary ore extraction from stopes, waste haulage and all underground truck haulage; construction activities, including stope preparation for backfilling and the maintenance and expansion of the Paste Backfill delivery system. The incumbent will develop strategical improvements to meet targets, manage the updating of operating standards, procedures, work instructions and control systems and ensures critical controls exist and are effective, identifies functional capability gaps and mange required actions to address them in order to enable functional excellence, work collaboratively with other departments to ensure mine wide goals are met, and establish departmental Health and Safety Strategies consistent with Site Strategy and ensure that all work is conducted consistent with the Internal Responsibility System and ensuring HSEC objectives for Kidd Operations employees are met.
