Community Planning Coordinator (Internship)
Timmins or Cochrane District
Ø Work with the CDSPC Regional Coordinator to design and implement a Social Services Inventory Database (SSID) and collect key information from community service providers
Ø Work with necessary community partners to evaluate necessary gaps and duplications in Social services
Ø Develop a summary report on SSID
Ø Develop an annual method of data collection for SSID
Ø Develop potential community development projects by consulting with key community partners, in conjunction with the Timmins 2020 Strategic Plan and/or other community plans; investigate potential funding opportunities
Ø Help to administer currently funded projects
Ø Develop and implement an awareness campaign of CDSPC through social media and other mediums
Ø Administer the Cocharne Homelness Coaliation
Ø Other duties as assigned
$20/hour, 35 hours a week, 52 weeks with two weeks holidays.
University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
Ideally, candidate will have studied Community/International Development, Social Work, Political Science, Social Studies, Gender/Women’s Studies, General Humanities, Marketing or Communications, Non-Profit Administration. A university degree would be preferred however a college diploma may be acceptable. Bilingualism an asset but not required.
