About This Opportunity

This position will join our team working in Timmins, Ontario on a full-time basis. The schedule will primarily depend on employee location and travel requirements.

This position offers a salary range of $60.00 - $72.00 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

The Longhole Supervisor will provide frontline supervision of production drilling, blasting and cable-bolting activities while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Direct and supervise underground longhole crews
• Coordinate daily drilling, blasting and cable-bolting activities
• Assign personnel and equipment according to the production schedule
• Conduct shift line-ups, workplace inspections and safety meetings
• Monitor productivity, quality and compliance with approved work procedures
• Coordinate drill moves, blast preparation and work-area readiness
• Communicate with mine operations, engineering, survey, ground control and maintenance
• Identify and address production delays, equipment issues and operational constraints
• Verify employee qualifications and ensure workers are assigned appropriate tasks
• Maintain shift reports, production records and relevant documentation
• Promote safe work practices and reinforce Hancon's safety expectations
• Support employee development, training and performance management
• Assist the Project Foreman with planning, scheduling and project execution

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of underground mining supervisory experience
• Ontario First Line Production Supervisor Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core
• Strong longhole drilling and blasting background
• Previous experience supervising underground production crews
• Strong understanding of underground mining regulations and safe work practices
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to coordinate personnel, equipment and multiple underground work areas
• Valid First Aid certificate
• Valid driver’s license
• Eligible to work in Canada
