The City of Timmins is currently accepting student applications for the summer of 2025 within the following Departments:
Clerk & Community Services (Cemetery, Enforcement Services, Facilities Management)
Financial Services
Golden Manor Home for the Aged (Administration, Nursing, Maintenance)
Growth & Infrastructure (Building/Planning, Engineering)
Information Technology
Public Works & Environmental Services (Pine and King Roads, Traffic, Environmental Services, Administration)
Timmins Fire Department
Timmins Police Service (Administration)
Timmins Public Library
Timmins Transit
Only students attending a post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis will be considered for hiring by the City.
The Corporation will require that eligible students provide proof of current full-time attendance in post-secondary education.
Students must also be returning to school in August or September of the same year in order to qualify for employment with the City.
A valid driver’s licence (Class “G2” or “G”) is required for some positions.
