YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Manager, Regional Finance & Strategy, you will be part of the Regional Finance Department. You will be responsible for implementing and managing the business improvement program in Ontario to support Mine Sites. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Implement Business Improvement program for Ontario, with initial focus centered on DMAIC process;
- Oversee cohorts of Green Belts through selection, training, project completion, and certification;
- Ensure selected business improvement projects are aligned with business objectives and are appropriate for execution through DMAIC process;
- Develop internal capabilities and integrate Business Improvement in existing business workflows;
- Monitor Business Improvement projects throughout their lifecycle, including Control phase;
- Report on savings and production increases generated by program;
- Develop and mentor Site and Regional employees on the use of Lean Six Sigma tools, including Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Visual Factory and facilitate workshops for key initiatives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Business;
- Minimum 10 years of operational experience with 3-5 years of experience in the area of business improvement;
- Trained in Lean Six Sigma will be advantageous;
- Strong safety leadership is mandatory;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Must have strong business acumen;
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills;
- Ability to manage conflict and problem-solve;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
