Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations. This position involves various tasks related to warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Yard Worker will ensure that materials are properly loaded and unloaded, contributing to a smooth workflow in our facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
• Assist in warehouse distribution tasks, ensuring timely shipping and receiving of products.
• Maintain an organized yard by keeping materials sorted and stored properly.
• Perform order picking duties as required, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling orders.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and productivity.
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or order pickers is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
