POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, The Senior Director will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination and continuous development of Mushkegowuk Council and its Finance, Human Resources, IT, Information Services, and administrative departments. The Senior Director will ensure the efficient and timely completion of all operations and administrative duties of the assigned departments, through various change management techniques. The Senior Director is further responsible for ensuring that each department remains compliant with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies. Other duties may be required.

 

REQUIREMENTS

·         University degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Labour Relations, Employment Law and/or Accounting preferred.

·         CHRP designation is considered an asset.

·         CA, CGA, CMA designations are also considered an asset.

·         Advanced organizational and managerial skills.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Strong understanding of administrative and operational principles and practices.

·         Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

·         Demonstrated change management employee engagement skills.

·         Ability to evaluate alternative solutions and develop sound conclusions, recommendations, and courses of action.

·         Proven ability to understand, interpret, explain, and apply local, provincial and federal laws and regulations.

·         Ability to evaluate management practices and adopt efficient courses of action.

·         Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management and executive members.
