As the pet groomer, you'll help us achieve our purpose of pampering the animals in our community, while providing a seamless customer experience.

Essential Job Functions: Consulting with customer upon appointment arrival and departure, ensuring satisfaction Performing grooming services on animals as requested by customers Maintaining the cleanliness of the grooming room Ensuring the safety and well-being of each animal, following outlined policies/procedures Willingness to be a representative of Paws & Claws at local events, promoting grooming services Suggestive selling at groomer's discretion (services and/or products) Qualified Candidates Must Possess: A penchant for detail (quality over quantity) The ability to service dogs of all breeds and sizes* Some knowledge of parasites, diseases and infections A high level of professional ethics, integrity and reliability The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50+ lbs. Grooming equipment (aside from bathing/drying needs and table) Extensive knowledge of breeds, temperament and skin conditions Precise scissoring skills and knowledge of breed standard haircuts A love for animals and an interest in the well being of those you service The willingness to comply with special customer requests, whenever possible

A minimum of one year grooming experience, as well as the successful completion of a reputable grooming school curriculum or equivalent experience. *Willingness to groom cats is a plus, but not a requirement.
