We are beyond thrilled to announce that we are hiring! The Niska Artisan Social Enterprise Associate is a one-year full-time contract position which will help the Niska Artisan Program grow in capacity and effectiveness. This position is made possible due to generous funding from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation.

For over thirty years, MCC has collaborated with Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners to build respectful relationships across cultures through education, advocacy, and social and economic development.

This new position will help to develop the Niska Artisan Project, a social enterprise facilitated by MCC in collaboration with the Timmins Museum, Ojibway and Cree Cultural Centre and Timmins Native Friendship Centre. The project supports Indigenous artisans in First Nations and communities stretching across northern Ontario by purchasing their work, hosting workshops and sales, and creating space for artisans to gather.

This position is designed to help the Niska project to grow in capacity and effectiveness while also providing opportunities for the successful candidate to grow develop leadership skills and experience in intercultural facilitation and social enterprise.
