About the Organization
The Timmins West mine is located approximately 18 kilometers west of Timmins, Ontario, one of the world’s most prolific gold camps. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt. The Timmins West mine is comprised of the Timmins deposit, the Thunder Creek deposit, and the 144 Gap deposit. All three deposits are interconnected by underground drifts.

About the Opportunity
This position offers a base salary range of $125,000 - $150,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
This is an existing vacancy. The successful candidate may begin as soon as possible.
Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.
The Project General Foreman will play a key role in advancing the Shaft Project and be responsible for driving the advancement of underground mining construction projects. With the approval of a 625m shaft extension at our Bell Creek mine and the associated infrastructure, the day-to-day coordination of multiple contractor activities will be the primary responsibility, while the mine is in uninterrupted production.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project General Foreman will have the following responsibilities:
• Assisting with the coordinating and tracking the safe execution of underground projects
• Oversee contractor and internal interfaces, conduct risk assessments, and assist with change control
to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with site standards and
regulations
• Timesheet approvals and verification of work performed
• Mitigate and verify delays associated with project work
• Coordination of logistics underground
• Helping to execute the operational plan for completing the project
• Assisting with QAQC on all new installations
• Facilitating daily huddles with development/construction crews
• Participating in weekly planning meetings, with key personnel including contractors, to coordinate
activities in order to review performance against targets and ensure project objectives at met
• Ensuring all project stakeholders are working in a safe manner, following all company policies and
legislative requirements
• Provide cost-effective solutions for field work requirements
• In consultation with the project team, evaluate alternative optimized methods for execution of project
work
• Assist and coordinate special projects that arise within the planning and projects teams.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
• Underground supervisory common core
• Over 10 years of experience in underground mining in a supervisory capacity
• Project experience in underground mining construction projects
• Experience in underground shaft construction and commissioning
• Demonstrated track record in leading safe work
• Contractor management experience
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience leading a project and coordinating multiple development and construction activities
• Demonstrated capabilities to drive projects forward
• Proven abilities to understand critical timelines
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada
