About Misiway Milopemahtesewin Health Centre
Misiway Milopemahtesewin Health Centre has served Timmins since 1993 and was one of the first three Indigenous primary health care organizations funded by the Government of Ontario. As an Indigenous Primary Health Care Organization, we hold to a simple commitment: Indigenous health remains in Indigenous hands.
Our care brings Traditional and Western approaches together. Our teams work with Elders, Traditional Healers and community partners, and clients can connect with land-based healing and cultural programs. Our Primary Care Clinic offers comprehensive, coordinated care to people of all ages.
About the Role
Do hands-on nursing in a team where culture is part of care. As the Registered Practical Nurse in our Primary Care Clinic, you will work alongside nurse practitioners, physicians and colleagues in mental health, diabetes education and cultural programs. You will care for clients of all ages, in person and, where it fits, by virtual care. Your schedule is Monday to Friday, daytime hours.
You will help make sure each person gets the right care. Respect for First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, and a commitment to keep learning, will help you deliver care that is culturally safe and grounded in respect.
RPNs are valued members of our interprofessional team, working to their full scope of practice and contributing their clinical expertise to provide high-quality, person-centered care. Working alongside Physicians and Nurse Practitioners, RPNs play an important role in supporting positive client outcomes and continuity of care.
