Job Description
Northern Equipment Services Inc is seeking to fill a full-time position for a Vacuum Truck Operator.The Operator is responsible for working with the team in the completion of their assigned projects.
He/she is expected to assist with all assigned project tasks, safely operate all required equipment, assist with cleaning equipment and tools, and to provide manual labour services as required. The
Operator will always relate with customers and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide High Pressure Water and Industrial Vacuuming Services.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Performed assigned tasks: vacuum septic’s, wash tanks or equipment, hydro excavate, snake, or inspect sewer lines, etc.
- Maintain daily records of the services provided.
- Pick up refuse and clean work site prior to departure.
- Clean trucks and equipment at the end of the day.
- Ensure trucks and equipment are safely and securely stored.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Valid DZ driver’s license.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Experience in the construction or industrial fields.
- Able to work with a varied schedule in an on-call environment.
- Able to work in a team.
- Knowledge of the safe operation of hand and power tools.
- Good customer service and public interaction skills.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Be honest and trustworthy.
- Demonstrate sound work ethics.
- Experience in High Pressure Water and/or Industrial Vacuuming an asset.
Working conditions
The Operator has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and containers.
The Operator must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells. He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must wear proper PPE and take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose, and skin from irritation and infection.
The Operator must complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. He/she must interact with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Timmins, ON P4R 1M9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- AZ or DZ driving: 2 years (preferred)
- Vacuum Truck: 1 year (preferred)
