Salary: $23.80 – $28.19
Summary
Under the general direction of the Ontario Works Program Manager, in accordance with CDSB policies and procedures and CDSB Vision and Values.

Key Responsibilities of Position
- Answers and directs incoming telephone calls and office visits
- Responds to inquiries and receives information from clients and the public
- Responsible for daily incoming & outgoing courier packages
- Ensures all visitors sign-in upon arrival and provide a visitor tag
- Distributes client cheques and correspondence
- Completes correspondence and appointment bookings
- Processes and distributes forms and application documents
- Participates as a member of the team
- Other duties as required

Job Requirements
- Excellent writing, communication and customer service skills
- Experience as reception duties
- Demonstrated ability in word processing and spreadsheet software, Social Assistance technology
- General knowledge of office procedures (copying, filing, telephone procedures, etc.)
- Working knowledge of the full range of programs & services delivered by the CDSB including; Ontario Works, Child Care and Social Housing, EMS, Finance, IT
Education & Experience
- Diploma in office administration OR a combination of education/experience acceptable to the employer
- Relevant experience in the field of social services
Conditions of Employment

- Use of a vehicle may be required
- Travel may be required
- May be required to work irregular hours
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Bilingualism in accordance with the French Language Services policy
